MapAlignr ("we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application MapAlignr (the "App").

What we collect

App activity. Game scores, high scores per city, city names you play, game statistics, number of game sessions, usage patterns to manage free play limits, and when you play games.

Authentication data. When you use the App, we create an anonymous user account assigned a unique user identifier (UID).

Information we do NOT collect. We do not collect personal data such as your name, email address, phone number, physical address, device location or GPS coordinates, contacts, photos, or payment information. Note: While we do not collect payment information ourselves, in-app purchases are processed by Third-Party Services (see section below).

How and why we use your data

Your game data is used solely for app functionality. We use it to:

• Keep track of your scores and display them on leaderboards

• Manage free play limits and paid features

• Improve the app's functionality and user experience

• Send local notifications about your game progress (with your permission)

Your game data may be visible to other users through leaderboards and rankings.

Data sharing

Your game data is used only for the purposes described above. We do not share your data with third parties except when required by law or legal authorities.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to provide app functionality:

• Firebase (Google): For user authentication and cloud data storage (see Privacy Policy https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy)

• Google Maps API: For displaying maps in the game. Google may collect usage data per their (see Privacy Policy https://policies.google.com/privacy)

• RevenueCat: For processing in-app purchases (see Privacy Policy https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy)

These services may process your data as described in their respective privacy policies. We do not control how these third parties use your data, but we only share data necessary for the app to function.

How we store your data

Your data is stored securely on cloud servers. If we transfer or store your data in a country outside of the European Economic Area (EEA), we will take adequate technical and organizational security measures to ensure that your data is processed with a corresponding level of security as within the EEA.

We implement security measures including access controls, encryption, and secure storage systems to protect your data.

We keep your data only as long as needed for app functionality. We may retain certain data longer if required by law.

Control of data

Since your data is anonymous and not linked to any personal identifiers, we cannot identify individual users for data access or deletion requests. You can delete the App at any time, which will stop further data collection.

Changes

We may update this privacy policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services or to comply with legal requirements. When we make significant changes, we'll update the "Last Updated" date and notify you through the App.
